Tailored to Your Family
No two families are the same — and neither are their goals. The Red, White, and Blue Program is designed around your family’s specific needs, dreams, and future plans. Whether you’re hoping to return to school, find your dream career, get out of debt, strengthen your family relationships, or save to purchase a home, our team works alongside you every step of the way.
At the VFW National Home, families receive individualized support, personalized goal planning, and access to resources that help make long-term success possible. Whatever your family needs to move forward, we are committed to helping you get there.
What Families Receive
Red Phase — Stability & Support (6–18 Months)
Families begin their journey by reducing stress, eliminating barriers, and building a strong foundation for the future. Weekly meetings with a Case Manager, financial guidance, veteran resource connections, and support for food or financial insecurity help families regain stability and confidence.
White Phase — Growth & Confidence (Up to 24 Months)
This phase focuses on sustainment, relationship building, learning, and growth. Families continue setting SMARTER goals, strengthen financial habits, and begin preparing for life beyond campus while receiving ongoing support and encouragement.
Blue Phase — Preparing for Transition (Up to 18 Months)
Families begin developing long-term plans and building a new community outside of campus life. Transition plans, grant opportunities, and continued support help families prepare for a successful future.
Transition Phase — Celebrating Independence (Up to 12 Months)
The final phase is all about putting the transition plan into action, strengthening community relationships, and celebrating how far your family has come. Families leave the program with renewed confidence, life skills, and a brighter path forward.
You Don’t Have to Do This Alone
Whether your family needs time to regroup, support to rebuild, or encouragement to dream again, the Red, White, and Blue Program was created with you in mind. At the VFW National Home, families are surrounded by people who care deeply, resources that truly help, and opportunities to move forward with purpose.
