Guitars for Vets (G4V) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping veterans facing physical injuries, PTSD, and other emotional challenges through the healing power of music. The Mid-Michigan chapter is proudly hosted on the campus of the VFW National Home, providing a welcoming place where veterans can gather, connect, and support one another.
Held on the beautiful grounds of the VFW National Home, this program offers more than guitar lessons—it creates opportunities for connection, fellowship, and community among veterans who share similar experiences. Participants meet regularly on campus, building friendships while discovering the therapeutic benefits of music.
The program includes a structured 10-week course with weekly private guitar lessons tailored to each veteran’s pace and needs. Veterans also have opportunities to participate in group sessions that encourage camaraderie and shared learning.
Upon completing the program, each participant receives a new acoustic guitar and accessory pack to continue their musical journey at home.
