We at the VFW National Home for Children are excited to announce that VFW Ohio Charities has joined our Sponsorship family! VFW Ohio Charities was formed in 2003 as a way for all of the VFW posts in Ohio to have charity funds to assist veterans in their respective communities. They are now sponsoring the Guest Lodge Annex. The Annex, formerly a relief house for daycare workers, is used to house visiting relatives of the families in our housing program, Trustees and guests during our board meetings, overflow for event visitors, and other events on campus such as Veteran retreats. Building sponsorship is such an important commitment to make. A sponsor provides for the home’s annual costs (utilities, lawn care, trash removal, etc.), maintenance, and repairs.
