November 14, 2024

We are excited to announce the completion of the street paving project for the VFW National Home, a significant initiative that began in the spring of 2024. This project was completed in multiple phases throughout 2024, all with the aim of minimizing disruptions to the community and ensuring the safety of residents and visitors alike.

The VFW National Home has always been a cherished space for veterans and their families, and maintaining it is a top priority. The old streets, which had seen years of wear and tear, required a thorough upgrade to ensure safety and accessibility for everyone who visits. Thanks to careful planning and execution, we were able to enhance the roadways without causing major disruptions to our community.

Throughout the summer, our team diligently completed the paving in phases, allowing residents, visitors, and service providers continued access to the Home. This thoughtful approach maintained the vibrant community atmosphere while ensuring that essential roadwork could be completed efficiently.

Mike Wilson, Executive Director of the VFW National Home, stated, “This project reflects our ongoing commitment to providing a safe and welcoming environment for our veterans and their families. We are grateful for the support of our community and excited for everyone to enjoy the improvements.”

We appreciate the understanding and patience of our residents, staff, and visitors throughout this project. As we move forward, we remain committed to providing a welcoming and accessible environment at the VFW National Home. Thank you for your support, and we look forward to seeing you soon on our newly paved streets!
