After almost ten years, the kids at the National Home are starting back up a tradition in preparation for Memorial Day. Despite the inclement weather, they boarded the National Home’s bus and drove to nearby Charlotte to put flags on the graves of veterans alongside members of the Charlotte VFW Post #2406. Thankfully, the rain yielded while they searched the rolling hills for veteran graves, and afterward, they went back to the post to enjoy pizza and pop. We are so thankful that these young people recognize the sacrifices of all veterans and the value of memorializing them.
