The second Ohio Red, White, and Blue Grant, awarded in the fall of 2025, supports a remarkable military family currently living in the New York 2 house at the National Home. Their story reflects dedication, perseverance, and a deep commitment to building a bright future for their children.
The father proudly serves in the Army National Guard, continuing his commitment to our nation while supporting his family. At the same time, the mother is pursuing her nursing degree—working toward a career that will allow her to care for others while providing stability for her family. Together, they are raising four wonderful children who are thriving and building friendships in their community.
Recently, the family took an exciting step forward by purchasing a home in a nearby community. Their children are already attending school there and forming strong roots in the community, which they will soon call home permanently.
The Ohio Red, White, and Blue Grant will help fund important improvements to the house, including updating the plumbing and finishing the basement. These upgrades will create a safer, more comfortable space for the entire family.
They plan to move into their forever home in June—a milestone that represents not only a new chapter, but also the resilience, sacrifice, and determination that define this inspiring military family.
