VFW National Home Life Members gathered recently for their annual meeting. The Annual Meeting of Life Members is when we thank outgoing trustees whose terms have ended and welcome our new incoming trustees. Alongside our new trustees, the new board president and vice president are sworn in as well.  Board President Annabelle Furgason of District 7 ended her term as president and passed the gavel to Keith Jackson of District 1, Jerry Blake of District 8 was sworn in as the Sr. Vice President and Sandi Kriebel of District 5 was sworn in as Jr. Vice President.

During the meeting, Life Members heard an update on the National Home, enjoyed a Year-In-Review video, and witnessed the installation of three new Trustees. The recently held elections have resulted in the appointment of Wendy Dannenfelzer and Mary Anne Kreutz as the Trustees for Districts 9 and 12, respectively. Their term of service will span from 2023 to 2029. Additionally, Jan Owens, a former National President, has been appointed to complete the District 5 term, which ends in 2026.

This year, we also said goodbye to Past Board President and District 9 Trustee Steve Van Bergen and District 12 Trustee Renee Fulk, who will both be sorely missed presences on the Board.
