On April 29th a full bus load of wonderful folks from the VFW Department of Tennessee and its Auxiliary drove nine hours to spend the day with us! Special thanks to Anna McKeehan, Department of Tennessee VFW Auxiliary Veterans & Family Support Chairman for organizing this trip. The group toured the facility and talked about the amazing contributions that Tennessee has made to the National Home. The group included many first time visitors that learned about the services for military and veteran families that are available at the National Home. Former VFW Commander-in-Chief, John Furgess was in attendance and really enjoyed his time during his third visit to the National Home. The tour included the Tennessee home, which has been maintained by the Tennessee VFW and Auxiliary since it was built in 1959.
