This week is National Volunteer Week and we would like to thank all of you who have offered your time, services, and expertise over the last year. Without selfless volunteers like you, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do here at the National Home. This year, we would like to spotlight and honor a specific volunteer who has been working with us this year. Roxanne Partak is 21 years old and graduated last May from Michigan State University with her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. While she was busy pursuing her dream job of being a police officer, she also worked at the Broad Art Museum in East Lansing doing security work and began working with us as a volunteer.
She has volunteered with us since October of 2016, and in a few short months, she will be leaving us to begin her career at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Academy! Roxanne has been a valuable member of our volunteer team, and we are going to be sad to see her go, but we are all so very excited about the journey she is embarking on!
Best wishes, Roxanne, and stay safe!
