Sandi Kriebel, Alternate Member at Large

Sandi Kriebel is a life member of Yingling-Ridgely Auxiliary No. 7472 in Ellicott City, Maryland. She joined at the age of 12 years old in 1962 as a member of the Jr. Girls Unit, where she volunteered at the VA Medical Center in Perry Point, Maryland, and had the honor of serving a Spanish American War Veteran.

At the age of 16, she became an auxiliary member under the eligibility of her father, Martin J. Conner, who served in the United States Army during World War II and Korea, earning a Bronze Star, Purple Heart, and the United Nations Medal of Honor.

Sandi has held and currently holds offices and chairmanships on Auxiliary, District, and Department levels. She served as a VFW Auxiliary Jr. Girls Unit Leader for over 35 years. On the Auxiliary department level, she served as the 1996-97 Department President, National Council Member #3, and held appointments as National Ambassadors and Eastern Conference Chairmen.

Sandi served as VFW Auxiliary National President in 2018-19 and was on the National Home Board of Trustees. She is currently serving as the National VFW Auxiliary VAVS Representative and is a life member of the VFW National Home for Children, Military Order of the Cootie Auxiliary and Blue Star Mothers.

Sandi has been retired since 2012. She worked as an Executive Administrator for a large financial firm. Her final position was as a Craft Care Specialist with Help Heal Veterans at the Baltimore Area VA Medical facilities.

Sandi lives with her husband Paul and is the mother of three children. She has two daughters and a son who served during the Persian Gulf War. She also has seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
