“The purpose behind the National Home holiday seal is well
known to most VFW members. Your prompt, increasingly generous answer
to its appeal - in the past - proves your hearty endorsement for
this plan of providing for wards whose fathers, once overseas veterans
like yourselves, paid the supreme sacrifice. If youre proud
to belong to the Veterans of Foreign Wars - use these stamps to
tell the world!”
Foreign Service, VFW National Magazine, 1946

For
almost 80 years, the VFW National Home has reached out and touched
the lives of thousands of children and families of our veterans
across the nation. Our dedicated and professional staff provides
a loving, home-like environment for children to grow and thrive.
Since our programs receive no government funding, contributions
from Posts, Auxiliaries, Military Order of the Cootie Pup Tents
and individual donors are critical for us to maintain our programs
and our campus. Contributions of any amount are always appreciated
and may be designated for a specific program. Moreover, you can
be assured that your gift will serve the children here at the National
Home. The VFW National Home for Children is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit
organization. All gifts are tax-deductible as provided by law and
will be acknowledged promptly.
It doesnt take a lot of money to make a difference in the
life of a child. Your gift of $10, $25, $50 or more will help us
continue our efforts to provide safe and loving homes for the children
and families entrusted to us.
You can make a gift to the VFW National Home for Children in many
different ways, including using our new online giving option, signing
up for a recurring gift, sending Campbells Soup Labels or
giving in response to our annual direct mail appeals. We invite
you to explore your giving options using the navigation on the left
menu bar.
